Built in 1960, the building has first floor and five upper floors, all of which are connected to the elevator, which stops directly on the floor. Thus, every apartment here can be reached comfortably. The owners' association consists of a total of 17 residential units, each of which is assigned a cellar compartment for use. Furthermore, the building has a bicycle cellar, which can be used by the community. The building is centrally heated by an oil-fired heating system. Electricity and sanitary equipment are of age-related standard, but top maintained and functional. The living rooms have laminate floors, kitchen and bathroom have a terrazzo floor.
In 2016, the windows have been completely replaced with new insulating glass windows. In particular, the large living room window here provides panoramic views of the landscaped balcony and into the treetops of the street. The always sunny orientation to the southwest allows here a place in the sun even in the winter months, as well as charming views of the attractive facades of the neighboring buildings.
Location
Located between Uhlandstraße and Leon-Jessel-Platz, the building is situated in a middle-class location of Berlin -Wilmersdorf and thus in the southwest of Berlin City-West. Fechnerstraße itself is a quiet residential street with a beautiful tree population, which approaches Leon-Jessel-Platz as a dead-end street. There is no through traffic. The well-kept buildings convey a tranquil residential character in the immediate vicinity of the Güntzel-Kiez, the Preußenpark and the Volkspark Wilmersdorf. Numerous shopping facilities for daily needs, as well as restaurants and well-known hotspots of Berlin's West are within easy reach from here. Kurfürstendamm, Tauentzienstraße and Olivaer Platz, for example, can be easily reached from here by public transport or even on foot in 20 minutes.
